Worked on while a Project Team Member at Baylis Architects:  This 130+ unit mixed-use multi-family project brings active retail and open gathering spaces to Stone Way North.  The design balances a diverse mix of units with sought after amenity spaces such as a bocce ball courts, exercise studios and a rooftop greenhouse. Residents also enjoy a lively street-scape enhanced by local craft retailers and gourmet northwest grown restaurants. These retail spaces engage the open plazas and street with multiple seating and gathering spaces as well as heavily glazed storefront and roll up doors that open the building up to the exterior. A rich combination of materials contributes a northwest aesthetic that helps this project blend into the surrounding neighborhood. Complimentary materials such as expressed glu-lam beams, cedar plank siding, textured cast concrete tiles and corten steel applied to thoughtful modulation and massing create a cohesive and visually appealing building composition.
