THE RAY

Seattle, WA

Worked on while a Project Team Member at Baylis Architects:  This 150+ unit mixed-use multi-family project looks to provide a new pedestrian hub for the Stone Way N traffic corridor.  The design creates a series of pocket outdoor open spaces aimed at filtering people passing by into the the adjacent retail and amenity spaces. The entry to the building is complimented by a plaza dining area flanked with retail that can easily open out onto the space with features like glazed roll-up doors.  This open retail edge is continued along the southern portion of the building with a restaurant space that can spill out to the edge of the property line and engage the sidewalk. In addition to a rich street level experience, this project offers an engaging rooftop comprised of a greenhouse focused on growing citrus plants, an outdoor barbecue area, and a small enclosed turf space for pets.
