WENATCHEE PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY

Wenatchee, WA

Worked on while a Project Team Member at Baylis Architects:  This project converted on old buffet style restaurant into a new pediatric dentistry office of approximately 3,000 square feet.  The client wanted the outside to tie into the interior concept of tree houses and forests while also seeming playful given the clientele of the project.  Natural wood siding and exposed beams on the exterior of the building reinforce the wooded interior experience.  Another major concern for the client was visibility from the adjacent highway as well as from the corner of the large parking area where the project is located.  A double height tower was created as the main entry volume helping create both visibility for the project from multiple angles while also creating a strong entrance.  The project observed a tight budget and brought life back to an older and neglected building.
